Now I know how Joan of Arc felt..

Last night a few of my friends popped over and we ended up watching some videos that my dad had recorded on VCR in the 1980's.
The colours were amazing then and the people on television looked really plain in comparison to the 2000's.
My favourite bits were the recordings of The Smiths on Top of the Pops. Morrissey prancing around miming and struttin' his stuff was pleasing on the eyes.
Thanks Top of the Pops, you rekindled my love for a band whom were once a fave, but I'd given a rest.

'Behind the hatred there lies, a murderous desire for love.'

'My only weakness is a list of crimes, my only weakness is, well never mind.'

'Now you know the truth about me you won't see me anymore. Well, I'm still fond of you.'

Poor attempt

At manipulating Polaroid I did a long time ago.
The picture had already come out fairly badly because of the lack of lighting and a problem with my flash so I choose to do what I could with it..

Thomas Baxendale has introduced me to the beautiful delight that is Pedro Martell aka 'Honey B Diva.'
All I can say is this is absolutely unreal. This is a real vibe, she/ he's inspired me to learn how to do cartwheels. I can't do forward roles yet, so this will be a fair task, but it has to be done. UTTER BABE.

He's in there, and he's blasting like a rolling stone, singing at the top of his lungs..

You can't strive to be that, there's no way you own it.

worried shoes

Such a beaut song, Daniel Johnston the little beaut 'I took this from the Beatles.'

Such a beaut cover.
I'll always have big love for Karen O.

Physical love is pointless..

"The title was inspired by a Salvador Dali quip: "Picasso is Spanish, me too. Picasso is a genius, me too. Picasso is a communist, me neither".

"The Observer Monthly Music magazine has called it "the pop equivalent of an Emmanuelle movie."

"Gainsbourg claimed it was an "anti-fuck" song about the desperation and impossibility of physical love."

You can probably guess from all my Gainsbourg links that I've recently seen the film. Its wonderful I would encourage everyone to see it. This song is one of the funniest moments in the song.

Condé Nast, taking over the world, restaurant at a time..

Upon browsing the internet today, I discovered Condé Nast are opening GQ & Vogue restaurants in a bid to spread their brand values beyond glossy paper.

Currently they own a GQ bar, Vogue café and a Tatler club, but this is seemingly not enough. In interviews the chairman of Condé Nast International, Jonathan Newhouse has said he believes restaurants are a 'Natural way to extend brand values.'

The company are also planning on opening these resturants in countries where they do not currently publish, a perhaps clear attempt to reach a new market.

What ever could follow?
